From the moment we made contact with Kim Rutz we knew we were in good hands. Kim actively supported us through the initial planning process and accompanied us to a number of design
appointments to make sure our vision was captured best. Nothing was ever a problem. Our dealings with Jordyn from Mastercraft Kitchens were also top notch, as were our meetings with Brownyn Turton of Turton Oliver Design. Together these wonderful ladies helped to bring all our ideas together and without their input our home would not be the lovely place we are so proud of today.
The building crew were an amazing bunch of men. Polite, courteous and professional, they took time to explain things to us in layman terms and again nothing was ever a problem. The foreman Bruce is a top man, we enjoyed his quick wit and diligent attention to detail. Knowing his level of perfectionism gave us great comfort knowing our build would be of an incredibly high standard.
In addition all of the Downey Designer Homes contractors including the painters, tilers, plumbers, electricians, and flooring experts had high standards when it came to their finished product.
We could not be more pleased as the house design fits our families needs perfectly and was finished to perfection, what more could you want. They even managed to complete the build ahead of schedule! Unheard of. Post move in we were not left hanging and since then the Downey team have continued to support us. We would not hesitate recommending them to anyone.

This is our first build so we were new to the entire process, but the team made sure we understood what was involved and the process we would go through from the very start. From the initial proposal we knew exactly what we would be getting and the team’s knowledge meant he could make suggestions that would help us with our final decisions and keep us within budget. We recently built our dream home with Downey. We always knew that they had a reputation for quality and being at the higher end of building companies so initially we didn’t consider them as I didn’t think we could afford them. He gave us an estimate and advice on layout changes and we were so excited as it was around the same price that 3 other “cheaper” companies had estimated.
